Privacy policy
Last updated: 9 August 2026
SnoutHub Shop operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services, in order to provide you, the customer, with a curated shopping experience (the "Services"). SnoutHub Shop is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and disclose your personal information when you visit, use or make a purchase or other transaction using the Services, or otherwise communicate with us. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, processing and disclosure of your personal information.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using and accessing any of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand the collection, use and disclosure of your information as described here.
Personal information we collect or process
When we use the term "personal information," we mean information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you or another person. It does not include information collected anonymously or that has been de-identified. Depending on how you interact with the Services and where you live, we may collect or process:
- Contact details — your name, billing address, shipping address, phone number and email address.
- Payment information — payment card details, transaction details, form of payment and payment confirmation. Card numbers are processed by Shopify's payment processing and are not stored by us.
- Account information — your username, password, preferences and settings, if you create an account.
- Transaction information — the items you view, add to your cart or wishlist, and the items you purchase, return, exchange or cancel.
- Communications with us — whatever you include when you email us, including any photos you send about an order.
- Device information — your device, browser, network connection, IP address and other unique identifiers.
- Usage information — how and when you interact with or navigate the Services.
Where that information comes from
- Directly from you — when you create an account, place an order, sign up for our email list or email us.
- Automatically through the Services — from your device when you browse, including through cookies and similar technologies.
- From our service providers — where they collect or process information on our behalf.
- From our partners or other third parties.
How we use your personal information
- To run the shop. Processing your payment, fulfilling and shipping your order, handling returns and exchanges, managing your account, remembering your preferences, and letting you post reviews.
- To talk to you. Answering your emails, sending order and shipping notifications, and providing customer support.
- Marketing. Sending you email marketing if you have signed up for it, and showing you online advertising for our products. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.
- Security and fraud prevention. Authenticating your account, providing a secure checkout, and detecting or investigating fraudulent, unsafe or unlawful activity.
- Legal reasons. Complying with applicable law, responding to valid legal process, and enforcing our terms.
How we disclose personal information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may disclose it in these circumstances:
- With Shopify, and with vendors and service providers who perform work on our behalf — payment processing, shipping and fulfilment, data analytics, cloud storage and customer support.
- With shipping carriers, so that your parcel can reach you.
- With business and marketing partners who provide advertising services. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to direct us not to share information about you for targeted advertising.
- Where you ask us to, or otherwise consent — for example through a social media widget or a login integration.
- In connection with a business transaction such as a merger or bankruptcy, to comply with legal obligations including subpoenas and warrants, to enforce our terms, and to protect our rights and the rights of others.
Our relationship with Shopify
The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve them. Information you submit is transmitted to and shared with Shopify, and with third parties that may be located in countries other than where you live. To learn how Shopify uses your personal information and what rights you may have, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal.
Cookies
We and Shopify use cookies and similar technologies to operate the store, remember your cart, understand how the site is used, and support advertising. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies in their settings. Turning off cookies may stop parts of the store working, including your cart.
Third-party websites and links
We link to rescues, makers, partners and other third-party sites. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content, their products or their privacy practices. If you follow a link away from our store, please read that site's own privacy policy.
Children's data
The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority where they live. As of the date of this policy, we do not have actual knowledge that we share or sell the personal information of anyone under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us their information, email us using the contact details below and we will delete it.
Security and how long we keep your information
No security measure is perfect and we cannot guarantee absolute security, and information you send us may not be secure in transit. Please do not use unsecured channels to send us sensitive information.
How long we keep your personal information depends on why we have it — whether we need it to maintain your account, provide the Services, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our policies.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below. These rights are not absolute, may only apply in certain circumstances, and in some cases we may decline a request where the law permits.
- Right to access or know what personal information we hold about you.
- Right to delete the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to portability — to receive a copy of your information and, in some circumstances, ask us to transfer it.
- Right to opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising, where applicable law gives you that right. If you visit our site with the Global Privacy Control signal enabled, we will treat that as an opt-out request for that browser and device where the law requires it.
- Managing email preferences — you can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any such email. We may still send you non-marketing messages about your account or an order you have placed.
To exercise any of these rights, email us using the contact details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. We may need to verify your identity before we act on a request, as the law permits. You may use an authorised agent, but we will ask for proof that you authorised them.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, email us first and we will try to put it right. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to appeal our decision or to complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers
We may transfer, store and process your personal information outside the country you live in, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms to protect that information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the date at the top.
Contact
For any question about this policy or your personal information, including access, correction or deletion requests, email us at store@snouthub.com. A real person reads it, usually within one business day.
We are an online-only shop based in Missouri, United States. We do not have a storefront you can visit, and we do not take enquiries by phone — email reaches us fastest and gives us a record we can act on.
